Behind my filtered smile

Hi everyone! So far this week has been crazy! good or not; still this is a week of progress and growth. I believe that all of us are having struggles in life and despite these struggles, we still manage to find happiness in all the things happening around us. Now, I just want to share something a little personal with you, guys.

Behind my smile is a blogger / photographer and a working student facing a lot of struggles. I’m just a person who just wants to sleep all day, who is waiting for all of his hard work to pay off, who wants to feel special, who wants to change the world, who doesn’t feel good enough, who just wants his family to be together and be happy, who just want to graduate, who just wants to achieve his dreams and many more.

My life is not perfect at all. Nobody has a perfect life. I also have problems and struggles. Maybe on social media you can see my life filtered with happiness, enjoyment and adventures but the truth is, it’s not that perfect at all. Behind every photograph I post has a story; you see me always smiling on my photographs but for some reason, I also end up having problems to face after a fun shoot. Life gives us challenges and that makes me motivated. For a 20-year-old guy like me, I’ve been through a lot and I learned from my mistakes. I see life as a huge rollercoaster; sometimes we’re happy, sometimes we’re not. It really depends on us on how we handle our struggles in life. Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.

I always set my own goals. Although we all wish we could get there are fast as we could, I’ve found out that being patient with yourself, just enjoying the journey at your own pace and celebrating each little success on the way is more healthy than pressuring yourself. Happiness is not ready-made. It comes from your own actions. I always end up taking the time to do things that I love like seeking the company of friends / best friends, listening to music, watching funny videos, watching movies and many more that anything makes me feel like to be myself.

We were all made into this world for a reason and we have the privilege to do whatever we want with our lives. The truth is that everyone struggles in their everyday lives in one way or another. It’s about staying positive and making the best of what you have.

There is always a story behind that smile that you see on my social media accounts. You never know what I’ve been going through behind that picture. Today I’m okay and everything is fine but not everything lasts forever. For me, everything is temporary but that doesn’t stop me from always making things positive and lively. I know I can and I always will. Life is too short to be sad, insecure or to dwell in our disappointments.

At the end of the day it comes down to are you happy or not? Your happiness matters too. Do what makes you happy and smile.
