Be the brand
Blogging about my personal thoughts has been a rare thing for me to do recently. To be quite honest, a lot of things have been crossing my mind lately. Even though I hate it, I tend to worry about a lot of things. Ever since I could remember, I’ve always wanted to have my own business. I’ve always wanted to pursue making a brand or being a brand ever since I was a marketing student back in college but now that I’m a fresh graduate, I’m currently worrying on how I’m going to survive in this competitive world and how I’m going to start on achieving my dreams.
As of now, I can’t tell whether I have a bright future in the business world or not but that’s totally normal and okay. No one can predict your future. What’s important though, is to dream and be determined and patient enough to pursue it.
When you’re working towards your dream, it’s necessary to invest effort and time. When I graduated from college, I’ve always believed that I’ll be able to achieve my dreams someday. I still believe in that and I know I still have a long way to go before I become successful but even though it scares me, it also excites me at the same time.
Being a freelance photographer and full-time blogger is fun yet challenging to me. Besides dreaming of being successful in the business industry, It’s also one of my dreams to be a photographer. After being a photographer for 3-4 years and a full-time blogger for 2 years, I’ve realized something. It isn’t just enough to treat your hobby as just a “hobby”. If you really want to be great in what you do, you need to start taking it seriously. You need to start giving it your everything. Basically in this blog post, I want you guys to visualize better things in life. Do what you love, take risks, challenge yourself, be genuine, be good, always strive to be better and “Trust the process“. Remember, you are a brand. Cultivating yourself as a brand is to your advantage as well. you need to learn on how you build your name, personality and identity as a person. Building yourself means taking risks, growing from past mistakes and just being you.
In order to save money and time when building your brand, you must have direction and importantly, you must focus on your goals. Network with key industry players, build connection and socialize. Your ability to market your talents and accomplishments inside your organization and within your profession, industry and community is a key part of enhancing your brand. Once you create an effective branding and marketing outlook, everything will come naturally to you. Changing your mindset, knowing your value, setting goals that allow you to be your best self and achieving a higher sense of accomplishment, then you have mastered the art of personal branding and marketing yourself!
The demands we face today include an unpredictable economy, very competitive and specialized marketplace, globalization and changing demographics. It’s okay to be scared of the challenges that will come your way but don’t let it discourage you. In our competitive society, the brands that succeed are the genuine ones that’s why being yourself is important.
As a lifestyle blogger, it’s necessary to be yourself and let yourself grow. Being the best version of yourself is a process and it doesn’t happen overnight. It’s also not easy. That’s the reason why being determined and patient is very important. Every great person you look up to had always started from the bottom. In order for you to really be a successful brand, work hard, believe in yourself and stay true and everything else will follow.
