Easy Access To Explore Singapore #DeegeeSingapore
When I set foot in Singapore for the first time, I immediately fell in love with it without even knowing its people, food and culture. Despite being a young country, Singapore has grown to be a blossoming garden, with trees planted everywhere amongst the hustle and bustle of city life adorned with technological advancements and spanking cleanliness. If you’re planning on visiting there anytime soon or in the future, especially if you’re a first-timer, Singapore has some of the best tourist spots in any country, and you can get a glimpse of how technology art and nature melds together into one unforgettable experience. Talking about my favorite Singapore attractions, I would say that Universal Studios Singapore and Gardens by the Bay tops the list and are a definite must-go!

Aside from these classic touristy areas, a more memorable way to appreciate their culture is through immersing yourself with the people and eating some local food. Head over to the heartlands to discover hidden gems that are perfectly nondescript. And the best part? Singapore is a small island, and you don’t even have to worry about traveling – all you need is an EZ-Link card (or get the Singapore Tourist Pass, it’s better!) to ride their public transportation. If you’re on a tight budget, keep an eye out for hawker centers which serve great food at affordable prices. Singapore’s Chinatown is also a nice place to visit, especially at night, where you can immediately converse with locals – whether you’re searching for your next itinerary, buying pasalubongs for your family and friends or even waiting for your dinner to be served. The people are approachable and courteous; some locals that I’ve encountered are more than willing to show me the way whenever I ask for directions.
With all that said, putting myself in the shoes of a first-time traveler or tourist on his/her way to Singapore, I do recognize many dilemmas. One of the biggest worries is simply getting lost among the numerous pedestrians, locals and tourists in Singapore. Although asking people around for directions are fine, it’s still better if you’re connected to the internet so you can have the freedom to explore anywhere you want. If you’re traveling in a group, you might want to consider Singapore pocket Wi-Fi. With that, you can search for things to do and places to go in. It’s one way you can appreciate the beauty and cultural side of what the place has to offer, instead of merely viewing Instagram photos online. However, if you’re bag packing or travelling alone, the local Singapore tourist SIM card is an essential to keep you connected easily and without fuss at all.
I recommend joining the Xplore SG day tour or night tour with your friends as it allows you to explore quite a few Singapore landmarks and cityscape all at one go. You’ll get to learn more about the history and culture of this sunny island while you visit places such as Kampong Glam, Haji Lane, Merlion Park, Singapore Flyer, and many more. One of the benefits of this tour is that the guide is very friendly to share the stories behind each place if you ask. He also had plenty of good recommends for nice restaurants and cafes as well.
To make the most out of your Singapore trip, you’ll need to get your hands on the travel essentials mentioned above. Changi Recommends can help make your travel experience much easier as they provide travel products and services in including Singapore attractions, transport passes, 4G tourist SIM cards, airport transfer, and pocket Wi-Fi rental. Be sure to book what you need from their website prior to your travel date to enjoy online exclusive deals.
