Your Home in the City of Pines: The Manor Hotel ( with Itinerary

May 29, 2019 | Comments

Looking for a good hotel for family getaways and romantic hideouts? The Manor Hotel in Baguio is the perfect choice! Its my first time to stay in this hotel and I must say, there is something really magical. Delight yourself with the beauty of nature around you – only in the City of Pines!

The location and the hotel itself is very relaxing and refreshing! Escape busy Manila; bring your jackets and enjoy the cold weather!

This family-friendly hotel also offers spa services, a terrace and tour or ticket assistance. On-site self-parking and valet parking are complimentary. In addition to a full-service spa, The Manor at Camp John Hay features a golf course and a fitness centre. Dining options at the hotel include a restaurant and a coffee shop/café.

How to get to Baguio?

If you’re planning to commute, there are a lot of bus companies who provide comfortable transportation going to Baguio. I personally recommend the Victory Liner and they have 4 available terminal locations in Manila, Caloocan, Cubao, Sampaloc and Pasay City terminal. The fare costs less than Php 500 one way.
Going to Baguio by public transport is only 4-5 hours away during the day and it may be less if you’re planning to travel at night. Thanks to Pozzorubio exit, it only took us 3+ hours going there!

The Manor Hotel Rooms

Check into any of The Manor’s 158 well-appointed rooms. From your room or suite, look out and inebriate your senses with a refreshing forest or garden view, a perfect way to start your day upon waking up from a restful, invigorating sleep. When you check into any of The Manor rooms, you will find out why simple moments become great memories, and unforgettable experiences.

You may choose from the following rooms listed below:

-Deluxe Room, Garden / Forest View

We get to stay 1 night in Manor’s Deluxe Room with Garden View. The room has two single beds with furnished balcony. Here’s a photo of the room:

I personally recommend this room because it has a veranda and when at night, you can just chill and gaze upon the stars – a perfect relaxing view!

-One Bedroom Suite Garden / Forest View

For our second night, we transferred to their One Bedroom Suite with Forest View. You may opt to choose from 1 King Bed or 2 Single Beds. Cocoon yourselves in the comforts of this room and you can enjoy great bonding moments with your family or friends.

Before we went down to the food and itinerary I want to share some photographs taken in The Manor, showcasing the different spots and facilities that’s feature in the Hotel ( shops, bar and etc. )

Food and Dining at the Manor Hotel

Food was great! For dinner, we had Prawn and Seabass Salad, Mushroom Filo with Tahini Yogurt, Grilled US Tenderloin, Spaghetti Aglio Olio and Fruit Flambe! We were so hungry and ended up finishing everything because it was all so delicious!!! My favorite is the Grilled US Tenderloin – a must try!

They also serve course sets for lunch for only Php 880/pax!
