Style Guide for Fall and Winter
It’s surprising how we’re already near the end of this year. This means we’ll experience more changes in the weather and get to see the reappearance of seasonal food and drinks, as well as changes in the clothes racks of department stores and fashion boutiques.
As someone coming from the Southeastern part of Asia, I barely feel changes in the weather. We only have two seasons in my home country: dry and wet. But as new seasons come in other countries like the US, Japan, Korea, and Europe, we can’t help but follow the seasonal trends — like how some coffee shops offer pumpkin spice latte to let their customers feel the vibe of the Autumn season.
Same goes with people. A new season means a new set of clothes (especially if you’re preparing for a fall or holiday trip this year!). Each of us have different ways to cope with the changing weather. In my home country, we pull out our jackets and sweaters during the “BER months.”
The beginning of October marks a special season for me. I don’t always experience the autumn season where leaves can be seen falling from trees and all those fancy things. But for me, the season brings out a warm, cozy, and comforting vibe. Aside from signifying the nearing of Halloween (another exciting holiday, even in my country), the autumn season is a very fascinating season, one that brings so much melancholy to me. But after that, it also ushers the nearing of the Christmas season, one that is more joyful and merry. All this makes me so excited!
So this Fall and holiday season, we can’t help but think of new ways to dress up and ready ourselves for another round of different OOTDs to post on Instagram. Fashion is for everyone. But first, you must know what this season has to offer and what’s trendy in order for you to rock your daily outfits. As we may all know, the Fall season brings out more of a temperate climate while Winter, obviously, is more on the cooler side of the spectrum.
In contrast with the warmer fall season, matching your outfits with leather tones and accessories perfectly compliment the over-all vibe of the season. More often than not, leather has limited color variations. The most popular ones are black and brown. But gray leather is now starting to gain attention because you can match it with almost any color.
Here, I give you some tips and inspiration for your outfits this upcoming Fall and holiday seasons. I’m very much grateful to have a platform like this to share with you guys how I mix and match my outfits while also sharing what pieces of clothing to wear. I would like to take this time to thank you, my readers, for your unending support for my blog and content.
Nowadays, fashion is not just for a limited few. Every one of us can experiment. It’s like we’re living in an age of discovering our own identities through fashion. And we do this, first, of course, through looking at what others do, before we gradually have our own ways of doing things.
Anyway, so for me, leather is the perfect choice during the Fall and Winter season because of how elegant and formal it looks. Still, if you’re more into wearing casual clothes, don’t worry because leather is versatile. If you’re looking for leather accessories and pieces you can match with your Fall and holiday outfits, you will never go wrong with leather bags from Fossil. It’s a great thing that Fossil has a lot of new items in their 2019 fall/holiday collection.

They are the perfect match for the warm tones of your outfit. It is also guaranteed that what you’re having is of topnotch quality. Go through some of their collection and I bet you won’t be disappointed. And it’s really true that you’ll get the most out of what you’ll pay. Whenever you need some leather accents for your OOTDs or simply want to rock leather outfits, Fossil is a great choice! ( Got my Vintage Bags at Fossil and I just want to recommend this brand when choosing leather goodies! One of my go-to brands when it comes to fall/holiday bags and watches ) Here are some of my recommended outfits/styles to inspire you for your next OOTD:
1.) Classic Layering : The Bomber Jacket ( Varsity , Puffer , Silk or Suede )
Classic and Easy to layer, The classic Bomber jacket is ready for the season, but why not try something new? Go with Suede this year! Check out the warmth it brings when worn over long-sleeved tees, collared shirts, white plain shirts and sweatshirts ( Just keep the colours warm )

2.) Short and Long Layering : Pea Coats ( with or without Fur ) Classic Holiday Statement ( Parka, Trench Coat and Puffer Jackets )
The classic wool is one of the must-have best winter jackets for men. Recent years have witnessed the success of long and short mens wool pea coats. With the lighter technical fabrics and a fashionable design, the mens wool winter coats can easily achieve stylish slim looks. It is believed that the men’s pea coat slim fit is going to conquer the men’s winter coat world for a long long time. ( Also recommending Parka, Long Trench Coat and Puffer Jackets )

3.) Heavy Layering : Leather Jacket
No bike required to rock this jacket, which is often rendered in black leather and an array of buckles, zip pockets, and epaulets plus a side of angst. It’s uber-edgy on its own, making it a solid statement piece for a more neutral jeans ensemble — unless, of course, you want to go full-on biker mode with head-to-toe leather.

4.) Suit Up with accessories
Meet your new closet hero—the blazer. A sharp, versatile shade goes a long way when it comes to building a ton of outfits. By mixing unexpected pieces, like a chambray shirt, it tones down the 9-to-5 feel. Our go-to pairing? Brown five-pocket pants or slim khakis because the colors complement each other just right. Pair everything with a leather bag and a statement scarf and you’re winning!

5.) The Accessories
Fall and the holidays is a great time of year to change out the straps of your watches for more appropriate colors for the season. As for materials, I don’t have a preference, but leather, perlon and suede are some of my favorites. The best colors for this time are always going to be:
- Browns
- Oranges
- Burgundy
- Taupe/Gray/Green

Same with choosing the right Scarves, Leather Bags, Wallets and Belts
So there goes some inspiration for your outfits during this Fall and Holiday season. Do not hesitate to mix and match and add some layers. Get some ideas from this blog post or try searching for more. I really recommend going through what Fossil boutiques have in their collection of leather bags. You’ll surely appreciate their quality products. I always tend to choose leather accessories to match my clothing for a more elegant look compared to a casual one. But that’s just me!
And it’s true, as people often say, simplicity is beauty. As long as you are confident and comfortable with what you are wearing, I know you will go far not only in terms of fashion and lifestyle, but also in conquering this world. There’s no one standard for fashion, and each of us has his/her own taste and way of perceiving things. Just don’t forget to stay calm and confident. Enjoy the season while it lasts. Make sure to make the most out of the season and rock that outfit!
